Description	:	**************************************** Norma Irene Droge, 82, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Morris County Hospital. She was born April 9, 1929 in Herkimer, Kansas, the daughter of Gustave and Julia (Lutzemeier) Spellmeier. She married Harry Carl Droge on June 25, 1950 in Marysville, Kansas. Norma was a homemaker and taught the Menninger Bible Study for over 35 years, touching many lives. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Robert & Chester Spellmeier. Norma is survived by her husband, Harry Droge, of Council Grove, KS; sons, James Droge and wife Diane of Broken Arrow, OK, David Droge and wife Joyce of Lawrence, KS and Daniel Droge and wife Kim of Manhattan, KS; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother, Clarence Spellmeier of Home, KS; and sister Verda May Svobada of Marysville, KS . At her request, Mrs. Droge was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church (8 miles north of Council Grove on Hwy 177), with Pastor Jim Slack officiating. Refreshments will be served after the service. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
