Description	:	Son of Van Buren LaRue and Frances Maney/Manney LaRue. The maiden name of his mother is "Manney" in his Jefferson county death record, but listed as "Maney" on her FindAGrave memorial. It would be an easy name to enter either way, obviously. The same Jefferson county death record lists his age at death as being 78 years, and so his DOB was entered as October 1, 1883, with his death being on October 1, 1961. It is possible that he died on his birthday, but more likely it was calculated that way by the funeral home or recorder's office. Although the Fairfield Ledger obituary also states that the birthdate was October 1, 1883, it is very likely that the source for that information was the same that supplied the information to the county recorder office. Any clarification (birth record ??) of his Nebraska birth would be appreciated. Husband of Nellie Mosher LaRue, married March 6, 1907. At least three children: James, William, and Charlotte. Harry died at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa.
