Pallbearers for Mrs. Petersen are Randy Mauer, Terry Stueckrath, Todd Stueckrath, Gaylyn Alexander, . Marlin Pennington, and Ronnie Christiansen. Pallbearers for Mr. Petersen are Gene Young, Jim Rea, Larry Petersen, Marlin Miller, Carlyle Petersen, and Kevin Petersen. Guitar solos, "How Great Thou Art" and "Road to Zion" will be by Dave Tague. The prelude music will "be played by Judy Beaudette. Theresa A. Petersen Theresa Ann (Pennington) Petersen was born December 10, 1924, in Plainview to Merl and Marie (Epke) Pennington. She lived on a farm with her family until she married Harvey L. Petersen on June 14, 1947, at her parents' rural home near Plainview. Mr. and Mrs. Petersen lived and farmed east of Plainview for 29 years before moving into Plainview in 1983. Mrs. Petersen also taught school for 36 years in Pierce and Antelope counties, and also taught at Plainview Public School. She was a graduate of Wayne State College. She was active in many organizations such as the O.E.S., Chapter F.E. P.E.O., Prospect Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Congregational Church, where she was a member. She was presently serving as the executive secretary of the Plainview Chamber of Commerce. Her survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Renae and Norman Marks of Geneva; four aunts, Louise Schaefer and Marguerite Alexander of Plainview, Mardell Timmermanof Fairfield Bay, AR, and Vema Pennington of Plainfield, IL; and many other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; an infant sister, Georgina, and an infant grandson, Corey Thomas Marks. Harvey L. Petersen Harvey Leroy Petersen was born November 2, 1919, in Plainview to Arthur and Laura (Hemmingsen) Petersen. He married Theresa Ann Pennington of Plainview on June 14, 1947, at her parent's home. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in New Guinea during World War II. Mr. and Mrs. Petersen lived and farmed near Plainview for 29 years before retiring and moving into Plainview in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion, Danish Brotherhood and the Congregational Church. He especially enjoyed home life, tending his yard and flowers. His survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Renae and Norman Marks of Geneva; three brothers, Les, Ed and Dwain Petersen, all of Plainview; two sisters, Vera Young and Alta Rea, both of Plainview; an aunt Margaret Hemmingsen of Plainview; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Stella Miller and Esther Lambert; and an infant grandson, Corey Thomas Marks.
