Description	:	Hattie's brother Morgan Truitt married Samuel's sister Ophelia. Morgan and Ophelia are also buried in the Agency Cemetery. The picture that I have posted of Hattie is from the book, "Descendants of Thomas M. Truitt," by Robert W. Butler II. In addition to the two children who are linked to their memorials, Hattie and Samuel had another little son. William J. Jones was born and died on November 25, 1890. I do not know where this little boy is buried. Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," May 18, 1936: Mrs. Hattie Jones, 74, widow of Samuel Jones, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.E. Johnson, Agency. She was born in Woodford County, Ill., December 14, 1861. January 15, 1889, she was married to Samuel J. Jones in Woodford County. They moved to Agency in 1908, operating a farm. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gail Edna Johnson of Agency; one son, LeRoy Jones of Hedrick; two brothers, M.L. Truitt, of Agency and Dudley Truitt of Monticello, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Agency Methodist Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. C.R. Reed. Burial will be made in the Agency Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Lester Jay Funeral Home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Dewey Boord, Don Whipple, Rex Johnson, Charley, Arthur and Wilbur Johnson.
