Stricken with paralysis some weeks ago, she had been in a critical condition since then though for a short time it seemed that she would recover. Hedda Matilda Anderson was born July 22, 1868, in Åsbo socken, Östergötland, Sweden, and died in Stratford January 27, 1928, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 5 days. Hedda Matilda Anderson was born July 22, 1868, in Åsbo socken, Östergötland, Sweden, and died in Stratford January 27, 1928, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 5 days. She was baptized as an infant in the Christian faith as taught and confessed by the Lutheran State church of Sweden. She was indoctrinated and confirmed at the age of 14 years. In the year of 1891, she was united in marriage to Axel Fredrick Anderson in Sweden and for a time they made their home in the town of Mjölby. The family moved to the U.S.A. April 10, 1914, and located in Stratford. She leaves to mourn her death; a grief stricken husband, and five children: Erick Anderson, of Rockford, Ills.; Mrs. Elsie Johnson, Mrs. Marie Fostberg, Mrs. Helga Swanson and Thyra Anderson, and eight grandchildren. Her mother, Mathilda Anderson, [line missing] living in Sweden. Another sister, Mrs. Anna Herman, lives in Stratford, and three brothers, Gust Anderson, of Dayton, Carl Anderson, of Massachusetts, and Otto Anderson, also mourn her passing. A host of friends sympathize with the family in their sorrow. Funeral services were held from the family home and from the Lutheran church Sunday and were conducted by Rev. Gunnar Goransson. A mixed quartet and a duet were sang at the services. Interment was made in the South Marion cemetery. Thanks to the singers who rendered most beautiful songs and to those who gave the flowers.
