Rosary was Wednesday July 20, 2011 at McLaughlin Funeral Home in Clay Center, NE. Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, July 21, 2011, at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Harvard, NE with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Interment will be Thursday, at the Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield, NE. Helen was born December 1, 1919, to Rudolph and Annie (Wolfe) Lipovsky of DeWeese, NE. She was united in marriage, September 22, 1942, to Roy Squires at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in DeWeese, NE and they made their home near Fairfield, NE. She was a lifetime member of the Altar Society, a 4-H leader for 10 years and a member of the 4-H judging board. She enjoyed gardening, baking and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ohler and husband John of Lincoln, NE; Wanda Bauder of Hastings, NE and Dennis Bauder of Hastings, NE; two sons, Robert Squires and wife Carrie of Fairfield, NE; James Squires of Fairfield, NE; sister, Mabel Schmidt and her husband Eddie of Blue Hill, NE; sister-in-law, Ione Lipovsky of Hastings, NE; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
