Following the ceremony the bridal party returned to the home of the bride's parents where a sumptous (sic) wedding dinner was spread. All during the afternoon and until late in the evening the guests made merry in honor of the happy couple. The time was spent in dancing and cards. Miss Anna is a charming young lady with a wide circle of friends. She hrs (sic) been a dutiful daughter and will be a loyal and faithful wife. We do not have the acquaintance of the groom but know that he is one of the prosperous and substantial young farmers of the Deweese neighborhood. They will be at home to their friends after Easter on one of the groom's farms in Spring Ranche (sic) township. Lipovsky, age 74, passed away suddenly at his home in Fairfield Sunday afternoon. He was born at Plattsmouth, Nebr., and grew to manhood at Lawrence. He has lived in the Fairfield community for the past 50 years. He retired from the farm and moved to town in 1949. Survivors include his wife Annie; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Squires of Fairfield, Mrs. Edgar Schmidt of Ayr; one son, James of Fairfield; and one brother, John of Glenvil. Requiem Mass was held at 9:30 a.m. Wednseday (sic), May 22, at Assumption Church of Deweese with Rev. Father Anthony T. Trausch. Interment was in the Fairfield Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary was at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Assumption Church. Pallbearers were Donald Wolfe, Raymond Wolfe, Marion Wolfe, Albert Skalka, Richard Skalka and Edward Lipovsky. McLaughlin Funeral Home was in charge. ================== The Fairfield Auxiliary (Fairfield, NE), Thursday, June 6, 1963; pg. 4 OBITUARY,'LIPOVSKY - Funeral services were held for Rudolph Lipovsky Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at Assumption Church, Deweese. Father Anthony Trausch offered the Requiem High Mass. Mass servers were two grandsons of the deceased, David Lipovsky and Robert Squires and Leland Skalka, Robert Lipovsky and Kenneth Lipovsky. Father Trausch officiated at the burial services in the Fairfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were six nephers (sic), Edward Lipovsky, Brownie Skalka, Richard Skalka, Marion Wolfe, Raymond Wolfe and Donald Wolfe. Mr. Lipovsky had been in poor health for the past few years and died suddenly at his home about 4:40 Sunday afternoon. He was a lifetime resident of this community having moved here from Plattsmouth at the age of 8. He had been a prosperous farmer, who worked hard and devotedly throughout his life. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Rudolph Lipovsky, son of John and Antonia Lipovsky, was borm on March 29, 1889 and passed away on May 19, 1963 at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 20 days. He was united in marriage to Anna Wolfe on Feb. 24, 1914 and to this union were born four children. The deceased is survived by his wife, Anna, one son, James of Fairfield, two daughters, Helen Squires of Fairfield and Mabel Schmidt of Ayr; 11 grandchildren; also a brother John of Glenvil. One daughter, Alice, preceded him in death on June 23, 1936, at the age of 21 years and also a sister, Mrs. Antonia Skalka, who passed away August 15, 1963. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Menza, Wilbur; Mrs. Everette Ray, Long Beach. Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert McKelvie of Alma and Herman Wolfe of Lincoln.
