Description	:	Helen Kaye Clements, 97, of Manson, Wash. died May 15, 2018. Born in Wenatchee, August 31, 1920 to Walter and Mable Munch, she attended Wenatchee High School, graduating in 1939. Afterwards, she earned a degree from Wenatchee Business College. Helen grew up on the shores of the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers. Helen married Cecil N. Clements of Cashmere on September 19, 1942. They resided in Seattle until 1945, when they moved to the shores of Lake Chelan. Helen grew up on the shores of the confluence of the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers. Helen married Cecil N. Clements of Cashmere on September 19, 1942. They resided in Seattle until 1945, when they moved to the shores of Lake Chelan. Here they built a home, which expanded as each of their four children arrived. She and Cecil started their own business by purchasing a small apple orchard in Manson until 1993. Helen and Cecil then added an additional orchard in Manson and one in Brewster. During the winters, they enjoyed vacationing in the Hawaiian Islands. She actively worked to improve her community as a founding member of the Muscular Dystrophy Guild and Manson PTA. Helen loved to be surrounded by the laughter and conversation of family and friends. Many came to her home for countless gatherings of cousins, extended family and friends of four generation of Clements. Always with a watchful eye, 70 years of dangerous stories on the lake compounded into warnings every time a family member took out the boat. All will remember Helen’s welcoming demeanor, ever-smiling eyes, her homemade pineapple ice cream and delicious apple pies. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Clements and sons, Dick Clements and Jim Clements. Having lived a full and rewarding life, she is now in a better place with them. She is survived by daughters Susan Bennett and Kaye Forsberg with her husband Fred, daughters-in-law, Marietta Clements-Hobbs and Christine Clements and seven grandchildren with their spouses; plus 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Helen will be Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11a.m. at Chelan's Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to Guild E or Manson/Chelan Senior Meals.
