She graduated from Manson High School and in 1935, she married John Naeve in Manson. The couple farmed in the Clare and Barnum areas until 1976 when they retired and moved into Manson. Her husband died in January 1997. HELEN MARIE NAEVE Helen Marie Wiese was born July 23, 1911, near Manson. She was the daughter of John D. Wiese and Mary [Onken] Wiese. On August 20, 1911, she was brought to her Lord in Baptism and on April 10, 1927, she affirmed her faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manson. She graduated from Manson Senior High School and on February 9, 1935 she married John Henry Naeve. John and Helen were blessed with two children, Judith and Dennis. The family farmed in the Clare and Barnum area until retiring in 1976 and moving to Manson. On Friday, February 4, 2000, she was called by the Lord of Life at the Pomeroy Care Center, Pomeroy, IA, where she was a resident. She attained to the numerical age of 88 years, six months, and 12 days. Survivors include son Dennis Naeve and his wife Mary Ann, Toddville, IA; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Clarence "Bud" Wiese, Marshalltown; and sister Bernice Kelly, Pensicola, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, who died January 1997, and daughter Judith Marie Wagemaker. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, sewing, "We-Ne-Da" club and card club. Unknown newspaper, unknown date: Helen Wiese And John Naeve Wed Miss Helen Wiese and John Naeve were married at a beautifully staged ceremony in St. Paul's Lutheran Church last Saturday evening at 5:30 P.M. with Rev. W.E.F. Meier officiating. The couple was attended by Donald Wiese of Blue Earth, Minnesota, cousin of the bride, and Miss Berniece Wiese, sister of the bride. The bride was attired in a gray gown with hat and other accessories to match, and carried a bouquet of pink roses with narcisses. The brides-maid was dressed in light pink with white accessories. The wedding march was played on the pipe organ by Mrs. William Pogeler. After the ceremony a lovely duet of "I Love You Truly" was sung by Mrs. Fred Folkerts and Miss Edna Folkerts. Mrs. Naeve is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wiese living on a farm east of Manson. She has lived in Manson all her life, graduated from Manson High School in the class of 1932, and has been living with her parents since that time. Mr. Naeve is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Naeve of near Clare. The couple will live on a farm on the Lizard which the groom's father recently purchased from Frank Clouss.
