Description	:	CLARK -- Helen Mullet, 85, of Clark, passed away Monday evening, April 28, 2014, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with pastor Robert Wengerd officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Helen was born Sept. 16, 1928, in Holmes County, the daughter of Harry and Mamie (Adams) Patterson, and was a graduate of Clark High School. She married Thornton Mullet. He preceded her in death Aug. 23, 1969. Along with her husband, she was owner/operator of Mullet's Cash Store & Feed Mill in Clark. She worked in bookkeeping at Rodhe's IGA in Millersburg, retiring in 1990. Helen was an active member of Gray Ridge Church, where she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed helping others, especially kids. She was also a volunteer at Clark Elementary School and for Hospice. She loved gardening, canning for missions, reading and spending time with her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Surviving are daughters, Deanna Mullet and Sheree (Joseph) Oxley, both of Columbus; a daughter-in-law, Betty Mullet of Millersburg; grandchildren, Heather (Joe) McNichols of Dover, and Jonathan Mullet and his fiancee, Desaree Collett of Bolivar; great-grandchildren, Marcus and Jarrod McNichols of Dover; sisters and a brother, Lucie Tipton of Lake Buckhorn, Earl "Peck" Patterson of Clark and Betty Patterson of Millersburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Mullet; her parents; sisters, Dora VanSickle, Eva MacDonald, Mary Hoxworth, Naomi Lender and Oaka Hoffer; and brothers, Wells, Harry, Glenn and Charles Patterson. The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the nieces, nephews and close friends that helped keep Helen at her home, the place she loved, and to the third floor nursing staff at Pomerene Hospital, that showed her love and comfort on her last journey home.
