Read More	HELEN BEUSHAUSEN RITES HELD SUNDAY Funeral services for Miss Helen Beushausen were held from the family home in Loup City last Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, in charge of Rev. and Mrs. L. M. Harwood. Her death occurred at her home on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 30, following a long illness. She was 32 years, three months, and 28 days of age. Helen Pearl Beushausen, eldest daughter of Emil and Maude Beushausen, was born August 2, 1903, at Scotia, Greeley county, Nebraska. When but a small child of five years she moved with her parents to Provo, Utah. It was in these early years of her life that she developed a love for the mountain country that she was to carry with her through all the years of her life. On January 25, 1914 she was baptized and became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Utah. A short time later the family moved to Loup City and in the latter part of that same year, 1914 her membership was transferred to the First Presbyterian church of this city, where she was active in Choir, Sunday school and Christian Endeavor, and continued in active service with this church until ill health prevented her from so doing. Her Bible was her most loved companion and she developed into a fine Christian woman. She received her education in the public schools of Loup City, and graduated with the senior class of 1923. She cherished the teachings of the Rebekah lodge, and was at one time Noble Grand of Morning Star Lodge No. 191. Never possessed of strong health she was always willing and ready to do more than her delicate strength would dictate. Her last illness began in October, 1934. Through the 16 long months of suffering that followed, her first thoughts were always of others. Leaving to mourn her untimely demise are her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Beushausen, one sister, Thelma Guilford, her brother-in-law, Edwin Guilford, and one nephew, Robert Owen Guilford, all of Loup City. Also her grandmother, Mrs. C. Beliel of North Loup and a large number of other relatives and friends. Avery consoling message was delivered by Mrs. Harwood at the funeral rites. ...(funeral details)... After this impressive service the body was taken to Evergreen Cemetery and tenderly laid to rest in the family plot. Pallbearers were six cousins of the deceased, Maynard and Donald Beushausen, Clifford, Arthur and Doyle Collins, and Darwin Sheldon. The Sherman County Times - Feb 7 1936
