Description	:	The Hooper Sentinel July 6, 1950 Mrs. Kallenbach Dies Tuesday Mrs. John Kallenbach, longtime resident of Hooper, passed away at her home at 11 p.m. July 4th, aged 86 years. The funeral services will be held today at 2:15 p. m. at the Wollmer & Warne Funeral Chapel, and at 2:30 p. m. at Grace Lutheran church. Rev. Samuel W. Jensen will conduct the service, and Donald Shaffer will sing, accompanied by Miss Joanne Meier. Brandt was born in Peoria, Ill., Sept. 4, 1863, and married John Kallenbach on Nov. 5, 1884. To this union, seven children were born, one of whom died in infancy. A son, Wm., and a daughter, Hattie Callaway, and her husband preceded Mrs. Kallenbach in death. The surviving children are Ida S. Basler of Hooper, Martha Monnich of Pender, Harold of Hooper, and Walter of Fremont; also nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a brother, John of Fremont. Mrs. Kallenbach was a good Christian woman, who was devoted to her home and family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran church, Grace Lutheran Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary. During the years she was able she was most conscientious about putting forth her efforts for the progress and welfare of her church.
