Read More	The Hooper Sentinel March 12, 1914 John Kallenbach Dead John William Kallenbach was born in Watertown, Wis., January 8, 1861, and died at his home in this city at 5 o'clock a. m., March 10, 1914. He was 53 years, 2 months and 2 days old. The cause of demise was cirrhosis of the liver. Mr. Kallenbach has been unable to leave his home, only for short intervals since last July. Deceased came to Nebraska with his parents in 1865, locating on a farm near Hooper. Most of the time between the ages of 10 and 21 he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schwab, on their farm northeast of town. He was married Nov. 5, 1884 to Miss Hellena Brandt. Seven children were born to them. The eldest, a son, died when six weeks old. The widow and six children, three boys and three girls, also two sisters and a brother remain to mourn their loss. The children are Mrs. Frank Basler, Hattie, William, Martha, Harold and Walter, all of Hooper. The sisters are Mrs. Wm. Rupert and Mrs. Louis Stroh Sr. of Hooper. The brother is Conrad J. Kallenbach of Scribner. Mr. Kallenbach has been connected with the saloon business in Hooper for the past 32 years being proprietor for about one half of that time. Funeral services will be held from the residence at 1 p.m. today followed by services at the Lutheran church at 2 p. m. The pastor, Rev. J. A. Matthiesen will conduct the services. Interment in the Hooper cemetery beside the remains of his infant son. Deceased was a member of the Sons of Herman and the Order of Owls. The sorrowing ones have the sincere sympathy of their friends in their bereavement.
