Description	:	Mrs. Lee Passes Away Mrs Geo. Lee died at their home in this city about three o'clock last Sunday afternoon, July 1st, 1906, after a long illness. The funeral was held from the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, the sermon being preached by Rev. H. S. Wold, pastor of said church, assisted by Rev. Wise, of M. E. church. The Lees are well known in this community having lived here many years. Deceased was a prominent member of the L. of G. A. R., Degree of Honor, W. C. T. U., and several clubs. The funeral was held from the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, the sermon being preached by Rev. H. S. Wold, pastor of said church, assisted by Rev. Wise, of M. E. church. The Lees are well known in this community having lived here many years. Deceased was a prominent member of the L. of G. A. R., Degree of Honor, W. C. T. U., and several clubs. She leaves a husband and five children to mourn her loss. The children are: James of St. Paul, this state; Mrs. Guy Holmes of Florence, Colorado; Mrs. C. R. Hickman of Pleasanton, this state; Marvin Lee who has just arrived from Montana and Miss Lulu Lee who resides at the parental home. Death has never before entered this family. Helena M. Lay was born in London, England, Nov. 5th 1847. She came to this country when but eight years old and located at Evansville, Wis. On November 10th, 1868, she became the wife of Geo. Lee at Albany, Wis., and went to housekeeping at Belleville, Wis., where they resided up until 1885, when they came to Nebraska, living at Schuyler one year and then came to Loup City where they have since resided.
