SHAFER, 79, IS SUMMONED Funeral Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hoskins Funeral Home Henritte (sic. Henrietta) Shafer, 79, widow of Jacob Shafer, died at the Jefferson county hospital at 8:30 p.m. yesterday. She was born Dec. 4, 1855 (sic. other sources use Dec. 30, 1855) in Germany and came to this county and settle northeast of Fairfield when she was 12 years of age where she has since lived. Her husband preceded her in death eight years ago. The were married 62 years ago. She had been seriously ill for 6 weeks. She is survived by the following children: Andy Shafer of Hedrick, Henry, Eli, Frank, and Samuel of Fairfield. The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home in Fairfield. The funeral services will be held sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. J. L. Seitzsinger.
