Read More	FISHER, HENRY E.—Henry E. Fisher was born in Rushville, N. Y., July 3, 1872. He passed away at his home in York, Tuesday, August 24, 1948, at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 21 days. Mr. Fisher was seized with a heart attack sitting in a chair at his home shortly after returning from a ride with his daughter. He came to Nebraska with his parents when he was three years old, living with them on a farm near Geneva until at the age of twenty-two he married Julia Ann Heath, and took up farming for himself. He settled on a farm just outside of Geneva, where he lived until 1944, Mrs. Fisher having passed away four years earlier. Since 1944 he has lived at York, except for a few months if ill health this year, when he was cared for by his daughter, Mrs. Floyd Abbott, at her home in Fairmont. Two months ago Mr. Fisher and Mrs. Abbott went back to their home at York. Mr. Fisher purchased a home in Geneva a c couple of weeks ago and intended to move back here. He leaves to mourn his passing one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Abbott, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Fisher, and one son-in-law, Floyd Abbott. Two sons, James H and Donald H., and one grandson, Robert H. Fisher, who was lost in action in the last world war, preceded him in death. He was a member of the Geneva Odd Fellow lodge for almost fifty years and of the Geneva Methodist church for nearly as long. Mr. Fisher was a good neighbor, a man respected in the community for his honesty and love for his family; one who will be sadly missed by his many friends. Funeral services were held at the Geneva Methodist church at 2 p. m. Thursday, August 26, Rev. Ben F. Wallace officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
