After his father, Nels Nelsen, died Henry moved to Kenmare, ND where Christ Nelsen, his step-brother, helped him get started in the plumbing business. Henry was always included in family celebrations and gatherings. He was employed as a plumber in the Sherwood, ND area for many years. The small town of Sherwood looked out for him. Henry had a strict routine of getting the mail etc. The man who ran the hardware store called the sheriff's department when he had not been seen in a week. He apparently died of a stroke and was found dead in his bed by the Robert Thomas, relative through marriage to Henry Nelsen. Henry never married.
