Description	:	Henry E. Janulewicz, 87, of Blair, formerly of Loup City, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Tri-County Hospital in Lexington. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City, with the Rev. Martin Egging officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, with a vigil service at 7. Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Janulewicz was born Dec. 10, 1923, near Arcadia to Joe and Clara A. (Eurek) Janulewicz. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emily, and second wife, Jean. Survivors of the immediate family include a son, Gary of Greeley, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Randy Zeleski of Lexington; stepdaughters and a stepson-in-law, Alice Kunes of Bellevue, Janette McLaughlin of Omaha and Karen and John Grinberg of Blair; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Riskowski of Omaha, Betty Czarnek of Houston, Texas, Mary Spotanski of Ravenna. Additional survivors include many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom and stepson-in-law, David Kunes. He grew up on a farm near Arcadia and graduated from Arcadia High School. He married Emily Schachta on May 5, 1947. To this union two children were born Jane and Gary. They lived on a farm near Loup City. Emily died May 27, 1981. On Oct. 2, 1982, he married Jean (Lewandowski) Janulewicz. He joined Jean's family of three daughters, Alice, Janette and Karen. They lived on a farm near Loup City until moving to Blair in 2006. Jean died on Jan. 1, 2011. Henry loved farming, fishing and traveling. He also loved playing cards and visiting with friends. His greatest joy was spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair and Knights of Columbus. Throughout his lifetime he volunteered on various community boards including the Loup City School Board. Memorials are suggested to the Janulewicz family or donor's choice.
