Saunders, mayor of Creighton for more than 22 years, died at his home in Lincoln Sunday morning at the age of 86 years. He and his wife had made their home in Lincoln since 1944, when his health became bad. Mr. Saunders came to Creighton from Bazile Mills about 1911. He was first elected to the office of mayor in April 1922 and was continuously reelected for many terms.
