Robinson Henry Simpson Robinson, 70, retired farmer of the Silver Creek community, whose home ws in Cedar Rapids, died yesterday, June 19, 1946, while a guest in the home of his sister, Mrs. John Rainbird, near Robinson, and will be buried at Silver Creek following funeral services the date of which was not determined when this sketch was printed. Friends may call the Shelly funeral home in the city for particulars. Mr. Robinson was born at Silver Creek Feb 14, 1876, son of Robert and Katherine Simpson Robinson. Growing to young manhood there, he was married to Cecelia Meyers, and for many years they were engaged in farming in Adams township. He is survived by his wife; three children, Mrs. John Mitch and Miss Mary Louise Robinson of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Robert Hedges of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother William Robinson, of Manchester; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Rainbird of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. John Rainbird and Miss Maggie Robinson of Robinson, and Mrs. Etta Wade of Ryan, together with four grandsons. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, a son who died in infancy, and two brothers James Robinson of Manchester and Robert Robinson of Schaller, Iowa. He had long been a member of the Methodist church at Silver Creek, and was known in the community as a man of upright life, industrius habit and highly regarded by a wide circle of friends, whose sympathy goes out to the bereaved family.
