Description	:	HERBERT N. MILLER rites Tuesday Herbert N. Miller, 60. of Brooklyn, Wash., a former well known resident of Holyoke community, passed away Friday at Boise, Idaho. He had been in failing health for some time. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Holyoke Methodist Church, with Rev. J. Hubert Wuben, pastor, and Rev. Miller, 60. of Brooklyn, Wash., a former well known resident of Holyoke community, passed away Friday at Boise, Idaho. He had been in failing health for some time. Miller, son of Heine and Magdalena Miller, was born April 2, 1900, at Yutan, Nebr. in 1910, when he was 10 years old he moved with his parents to Holyoke and the family settled on a farm 6 miles West of town. Here he spent his early life, attending elementary and high school in Holyoke. He later engaged in farming and cattle raising with his brother, George. He was united in marriage with Zetta Platt on September 18, 1937, at Julesburg. They established their home on a farm West and North of Holyoke, residing there until 1947 when they moved to Holyoke in 1949 they moved to Payette, Idaho, and in 1956 to Brooklyn, Wash., where they owned and operated a mercantile store, they also operated the postoffice there. Because of Mr. Miller's failing health they were visiting in Payette, Idaho, enroute to Arizonia, when Mr.Miller became ill and was hospitalized in Boise. Mr. Miller was a member of the Holyoke Medthodist church; Modern Woodmen of America; Holyoke Lodge No. 81 , A.F.&A.M.; Rocky Mountain Consistory No. 2, and El Korah Shrine Temple. He was a sports enthusiast and particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife, Zetta; one daughter, Patricia (Mrs. Clayton) Bailey, Jacksonville, Fla.; seven sisters, Annie (Mrs. Fred) Beutler, Orchard, Nebr., Etta (Mrs. Arthur) Lane, Mrs Margaret Moulton, and Alice (Mrs Charles) Herb, and Mrs. Minnie Matzen all of Denver, Marie (Mrs. Percy) McCone, Julesburg, Elsie (Mrs. Floyd) Waln, Holyoke; three brothers, Albert Miller and Julius Miller, Inglewood, Calif., and George Miller, Haxtun; four grandchildren, Kathy, Nicky, Sheri-ann and Keri-Lee, Jacksonville, Fla., and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Heine J. and Magdalena Miller and one sister, Katie Russell.
