Born in Rockbridge Co., Va., she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. McCormick and Norah Palmer McCormick. She was a member of Groveton Baptist Church, of Alexandria, retired government worker and wedding shop owner. Surviving are her husband of forty-six years, Robert Loyd Hardin, Alexandria; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Castles, Alexandria, Rebecca Arlene Bender, Ormond Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Ricky T. Castles, Alexandria, Diana Christine Bender, Ormond Beach, Fla., and Kelly Marie Bender, Ormond Beach, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 3, 1994, from the Harrison Funeral Chapel, at 2 p.m, with burial to follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Harrison Funeral Home. The Roanoke Times, dated 2 June 1994. Hilah shares her large gravestone with Robert Loyd Hardin.
