Description	:	Hilda Marie Burner, 93, of Luray, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Luray. Mrs. Burner was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Luray, and was a daughter of the late Edward J. Marston and Olga Gertrude (Bell) Marston. She retired from Luray Textile. She was a member of Luray Christian Disciples of Christ, a charter member of VFW Auxiliary Post 621, Luray, and a lifelong Republican, who worked tirelessly for the GOP. Mrs. Burner was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Luray, and was a daughter of the late Edward J. Marston and Olga Gertrude (Bell) Marston. She retired from Luray Textile. On Dec. 12, 1941, she married James Buchanan Burner, who preceded her in death April 27, 1996. She is survived by five sisters, Nancy L. Cave, M. Belle Griffith, M. Elaine Moyer and E. Muriel Williams, all of Luray and J. Cleo Weatherman of Rileyville; and three brothers, Donnie B. Martson, Edward J. Marston and Kenneth L. Marston, all of Luray. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Hunter Marston, and a sister, Evelyn O. Woodward. Evangelist Doug Gochenour will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray. Memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Fire Dept., 1 Firehouse Lane, Luray, VA 22835, or the Luray Rescue Squad, P.O.
