Description	:	Husband of Almira Jones and son of Elisha Giddings and Philothea Fish Horace began working for himself at the age of thirteen years, receiving $6.00 per month, and at the age of fifteen years engaged in logging. About 1853 he came to his farm in Wayne, Ashtabula Ohio where he owned 279 acres of well improved land, Mr Giddings had two residences, good barns, an orchard, dairy, etc. He raised Jersey and Ayrshire cattle, and took many premiums in cheese and butter at state and county fairs.
