Pabolo Howard Bach, 88, of Forsyth, formerly of Hysham, passed away on Saturday December 15, at his home in Forsyth due to natural causes. Howard was born July 26, 1913 in Duquoin, Kansas, the son of Christian and Minnie Hagler Bach. He spent his youth and attended schools in Bush, Colorado and Savage, Montana. Howard graduated from Savage High School in 1933. Following graduation, Howard worked various agricultural jobs. On November 29, 1933, Howard married Lorraine (Ranie) Ellerman in Sidney. They farmed for three years, and worked on the lower Yellowstone ditch in the Sidney area. Howard later worked on the Kinsey Ditch before moving to Myers in 1956, where he was the superintendent on the Hysham Ditch for 25 years. Howard also worked for Dave Manning, operating heavy equipment. Howard and Ranie moved to Hysham in 1977 and continued he continued to live there following Ranie's death in 1988. On April 9, 1989, Howard married Pearl Taylor in Hysham. They continued to live in Hysham until 1996 when they moved to Forsyth, where they have lived since. Howard had a special love for his family. He also enjoyed fishing, doing fixer upper jobs around the house, and gardening. Howard was a member of the Hiram Lodge #52 A.F. & A.M. of Forsyth, Hysham Lodge # 129 A.F. & A.M., Hysham Presbyterian Church, and the Hysham Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife Pearl of Forsyth; his daughter Shirley (Gene) Peterson of Crane, Montana; four grandchildren, Patti (John) Berger, Elwood (Karen) Forry, Jodi Reyna, and Dion Forry; 8 great grandchildren; hi2 step great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; his brother Clifford Bach of Billings; and two sisters, Alice Koeler of Helena and Helen Jonason of Sidney. Howard was preceded in death by his wife Ranie, his brother Fred, a grandson Clinton Forry, and a great granddaughter Amanda Berger. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday December 20 at the Hysham Community Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in the Hysham Cemetery. Beals Mortuary of Forsyth is assisting the family with these arrangements.
