Description	:	Hugo Alvin Neumann was born Nov. 11, 1855 at Cambridge, Ill. and was married on Sept. 6, 1876. In the fall of the same year he and his wife moved to Iowa, where to them were born four children. Those were present at the funeral: Mrs. S.R. Gillogly of Creighton, Alvin W. Neumann of Colome, S.D., Roy Copper of Colome, S.D. and Herman M. Neumann of Cambridge, Ill. After the death of his first wife, Mr. Neumann was again married. Read More	Hugo Alvin Neumann was born Nov. 11, 1855 at Cambridge, Ill. and was married on Sept. 6, 1876. In the fall of the same year he and his wife moved to Iowa, where to them were born four children. Those were present at the funeral: Mrs. S.R. Gillogly of Creighton, Alvin W. Neumann of Colome, S.D., Roy Copper of Colome, S.D. and Herman M. Neumann of Cambridge, Ill. After the death of his first wife, Mr. Neumann was again married. This time to Rose Louise Gratz and after living a short period in Ill. again, became one of the early settlers in Knox County, Neb. He moved to Center in 1894. To the household three more children; Floyd Laverne, Leroy F. and Ferne L., all who live at the home place at Center. After suffering affliction for some time the summons home came to him at Norfolk on the night of July 2, 1915. He was clearly conscious at the last, knowing that the end was near and speaking of a great peace with God. He united with the Methodist church while living in Iowa and remained a good Christian man in his life. He was a member of the Masonic Order and remained always in good standing. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Joseph Stopford at the Methodist Church. At the grave the Masonic Order conducted the rites of the Order over their deceased brother.
