She spent all her life in this community. She attended school in York and Hamilton county. She was a life time member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Polk, Nebr. She was married to Fred Laessle on December 14, 1924. To this union one daughter Alvertus was born. She is survived by her husband Fred, daughter Alvertus and son-in-law Max Jones, 1 brother Henry C. Blase and his wife Vera, 4 granddaughters and their husbands, and 7 great grandchildren. Services were held Friday, Oct. 30, 1981 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Polk, with Rev. Keith Knippenberg officiating. The congregation sang “Jesus Lives, The Victory’s Won” and the choir sang “Jesus The Very Thought of Thee accompanied by Mrs. Keith Knippenberg, organist. Pallbearers were Lanny Ang, Mark Albin, Michael Lind, Charles Shenk, Randy Branting, Michael Garrett. Interment was in the church cemetery.
