He passed away July 21, 1984 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital in Aurora, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 4 days. He was baptized into the Christian Faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. F.W. Seesko in August 1903. He attended Immanuel Christian Day School and was confirmed in March 1917. He passed away July 21, 1984 at the Aurora Memorial Hospital in Aurora, Nebraska at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 4 days. He was baptized into the Christian Faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. F.W. Seesko in August 1903. He attended Immanuel Christian Day School and was confirmed in March 1917. He was a member of this church his entire life. On February 20, 1917 Henry married Vera Scheapler at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They lived on his parents farm near Polk until 1970 when they moved into Polk. To this union was born one daughter, Gladys Marie Blase. He is survived by his wife, 1 sister-in-law, Delta Scheapler, 2 brothers-in-law, one niece, cousins and a host of friends. Preceding him in death were his daughter, parents and one sister, Hulda Laessle. Services were held Tuesday July 23, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. James Eckert Officiating. Mrs. Mark Mischnick, organist, accompanied a trio of Mrs. Duane Rodine, Mrs. Scott Hudson and Mrs. Maynard Holtorf. Songs were "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", "I am the Resurrection and the Life", "Now the Light Has Gone Away", all accompanied by Lisa Bankson. Pallbearers were Lanny Ang, Max Jones, Michael Lind, Charles Shenk, Dennis Van Housen and Neal Van Housen. Interment was in the church cemetery.
