Read More	------------------------------------ Indian Land – Ida Elizabeth "Lib" Smith Stephenson, 86, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009. Born Dec. 24, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Roddey Faris Smith and Lois Neely Smith. She was married to the late Frank Parks Stephenson Jr. She was retired from Crest/Woolworth stores and worked in Charlotte and Rock Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of the S.C. Family and Community Leaders. She was a charter member of Indian Land Eastern Star Chapter 286 and a longtime member of Banks Presbyterian Church, where she served as treasurer for more than 20 years. She was an elder and honorary life member of Presbyterian Women. She was the oldest member of Banks Presbyterian Church, where she was a member for almost 72 years. Survivors include a son, Derryl Stephenson and his wife, Toni, of El Cajon, Calif.; two grandsons, James Stephenson of Fort Mill and Jeremy Stephenson of La Mesa, Calif.; three great-grandchildren; a great great-grandchild; three brothers, Carol Smith and Douglas Smith, both of Rock Hill and Harold Smith of Fort Mill; a sister, Virginia Stroup of Fort Mill She was preceded in death by a brother, Roddey Faris Smith Jr. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Banks Presbyterian Church,10012 New Town Road, Marvin, N.C., with the Rev. Scott Hilborn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Eastern Star rites. Viewing of the body will be one hour before the service. The family will receive friends afterwards in the fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to the Banks Presbyterian Church, 10012 New Town Road, Marvin, NC, 28173; or to Agape Community Hospice, 1317 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, 29732.
