WILLIAMS Ida Lucinda Mayer, daughter of John G. and Melissa Mayer, was born near Tipton, Iowa, on July 5, 1878, and died at Cedar Valley on Oct. 29, 1930, at the age of 52 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Isaac Z. Williams on April 9, 1895. Five children were born to them. One daughter, Mrs. Martha E. Reeder, preceded her mother in death about five years ago. WILLIAMS Ida Lucinda Mayer, daughter of John G. and Melissa Mayer, was born near Tipton, Iowa, on July 5, 1878, and died at Cedar Valley on Oct. 29, 1930, at the age of 52 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was united in marriage to Isaac Z. Williams on April 9, 1895. Five children were born to them. One daughter, Mrs. Martha E. Reeder, preceded her mother in death about five years ago. She lived most of her life in Cedar County. Her husband was superintendent of the Cedar County Home for seven years, during which time she served as an efficient matron. She had a kind disposition and exerted a noble influence upon her family and friends. Her health has been failing for a few years, but she was a patient sufferer. When about 13 years of age she united with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, transferring her membership to the Tipton Reformed church in 1916. She was also a member of the W. R. C., the Eastern Star and Pythian Sisters. She is survived by her husband, four children, Mrs. Ruth E. Donsted of Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. Myrtle M. McGillivray of Moline, Ill.; Everett T. of Cedar Valley, Harold Z. at home; three brothers, Ezra Mayer of Central City, Ia.; I. E. Mayer and J. E. Mayer of Cedar Valley; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Clements of Valentine, Neb.; an aged aunt, Mrs. Lucinda Young of Tipton; five grandchildren ad other relatives. Funeral services were held Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Rev. A. R. Von Gruenigen, pastor of the Tipton Reformed Church, officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
