Description	:	Ida May Frazier, daughter of Solomon and Elizabeth Frazier was born June 29, 1872, near Belleville, Kansas. She departed this life Dec. 31, 1946, at the age of 74 years, six months and 2 days. When just a small child she moved with her parents to Smith County Kansas, where she grew to young woman hood. In early life she united with the Christian Church and was active in its affairs, and the Sunday school until her death. She was the youngest of eleven children, all preceding her in death. She departed this life Dec. 31, 1946, at the age of 74 years, six months and 2 days. When just a small child she moved with her parents to Smith County Kansas, where she grew to young woman hood. In early life she united with the Christian Church and was active in its affairs, and the Sunday school until her death. She was the youngest of eleven children, all preceding her in death. On January 24, 1900 she was united in marriage to John M. George, at Red Cloud, Nebraska. Her husband preceded her in death July 5, 1932. To this union was born five children, Lloyd of Detroit, Michigan; Lyle of Grand Island Nebraska; Lester of Chester, Nebr.; and Mildred Huckins of Chester, Nebr., and Gerald who lost his life in the service of his country May 27, 1943. She also raised two step-children Minnie Curry who preceded her in death June 17, 1933 and Lee of Republic, Kansas. She is survived by six grandchildren and Eight (sic) Step grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. I cannot say, and I will not say That she is dead - She is just away! With a cheery smile, and a wave of hand, of hand, (NOTE: typed as written in newspaper) She has wandered into an unknown land, And left us dreaming how very fair It needs must be, since she lingers there. And you - O you, who the wildest yearn For the old time step and glad return, Think of her faring on, as dear In the love of There as the love of Here; Think of her still as the same, I say: She is not dead - She is just away! Funeral services were held from the Christian Church in Chester on January 2, at 2:30 p.m. They were conducted by the Rev. Wm Fawell. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery.
