Description	:	Ilah E. Rose, age 89 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday morning, February 21, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born May 28, 1925 in Defiance County, the daughter of Curtis and Laura (Baringer) Stork, and married Lowell E. Rose on June 19, 1947. A resident of the Defiance area many years, she moved to Archbold in 1994. She was a homemaker, and was the Secretary of Rose Cabinets at Defiance. Rose, age 89 years, of Archbold, passed away Saturday morning, February 21, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee. She was born May 28, 1925 in Defiance County, the daughter of Curtis and Laura (Baringer) Stork, and married Lowell E. Rose on June 19, 1947. A resident of the Defiance area many years, she moved to Archbold in 1994. She was a homemaker, and was the Secretary of Rose Cabinets at Defiance. She was an avid musician, sang in Sweet Adelines and taught piano. She was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Church where she sang in the ladies trio, church choir, and was the church pianst many years, and Gideon’s Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Lowell; three children, Kenneth (Cathleen) Rose of Belle Island, FL, Debra (Sam) Short of Lawton, MI, and Jack (Susan) Rose of Yuma, AZ; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dean Stork. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Archbold Evangelical Church with Pastors Matt Boyers, Jesse Kahler, and Jeremy Short officiating. Interment will precede in the Evansport Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold from 3-8 PM on Wednesday. The family Suggests that memorials be given to Gideon’s International.
