The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, May 16, 1929; pg. 4 Ina Marlenee, daughter of William and Amanda Marlenee, deceased, was born in Guthrie County, Iowa, May 26, 1866. She died at Lincoln, Nebraska, May 12, 1929. She came with her parents to Nuckolls County, Nebraska, October 14, 1872. She united with the Evangelical Church when a young girl, later transferring her membership to the Christian Church at Ox Bow, of which she was a devoted member. She leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, Mrs. Louise Schufeldt of Angus; Mrs. Bertha Kline, Creston, Iowa; two brothers, W.A. Marlenee of Lincoln, and D.C. Marlenee of Omaha; two half brothers, Edward and John Stotts of Guthrie County, Iowa. She was a loving devoted daughter and sister. Her sister Louise Norwood passed away in 1896 leaving a family. By Ina's loving generous disposition it was made possible to give the children a home. "Weep not that her trials are over, Weep not that her race is run, God grant that we may rest as calmly When our work like hers is done."
