Description	:	PINNACLE, NC ~ Mrs. Irene Chilton Moore, 92, of Shoals Road, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born Dec. 13, 1910 in Surry County to Thomas and Mollie Long Chilton. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ray Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilot View United Methodist Church. Moore and wife Rachel of Pinnacle; six... Read More	PINNACLE, NC ~ Mrs. Irene Chilton Moore, 92, of Shoals Road, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born Dec. 13, 1910 in Surry County to Thomas and Mollie Long Chilton. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ray Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Pilot View United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Shelby Bayles of Winston-Salem and Margie Meggs and husband Wayne of Sellers, S.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Aubrey R. Moore and wife Rachel of Pinnacle; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Roxie Wood of Chapel Hill. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Pilot View United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Wood, the Rev. Betty Boyd and the Rev. Sid Boyd. Mrs. Moore will lie in state at the church from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Pilot View United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, March 14, 2003, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home. Memorials may be in floral tribute or to Pilot View United Methodist Cemetery Fund, c/o Curtis Creed, P.O. Box 14, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
