Description	:	The Topeka Capital-Journal SENECA--Irene M. Fangman, 76, Seneca, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, at a Marysville hospital. Mrs. Fangman was a cook in the Wichita and St. Benedict schools. She also was a cook at the Friendly Diner in Seneca and purchased the business in 1976. She operated the diner until 1991 and then worked as a hostess at the Nemaha Co. Hist. She was born July 2, 1918, on a farm north of Baileyville, the daughter of Frank and Frances Rusche Koch. She attended Sacred Heart School at Baileyville. Mrs. Fangman was a member of St. Mary's Church and the St. Ann's Altar Society at the church in St. Benedict, the Nemaha Co. Hist. Soc. and she was a former member of the Seneca Business and Professional Women and the Kansas Restaurant Ass'n. She was married to Albert C. Fangman on Jan. 26, 1937, in Baileyville. He survives. Other survivors include five daughters: Patricia Haverkamp, Seneca, Jeanette Walter, Topeka, Rosalita Farley, Millington, Tenn., Linda Fangman, Wichita and Sylvia Nordhus, Olathe; four brothers: William, Axtell, Frederick, Warrensburg, Mo., Frank, Beattie and Linus, Baileyville; 17 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fangman was preceded in death by a son, Albert Fangman in Oct. 1941. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church in St. Benedict.
