She died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa at the age of eighty-seven. Irma was born on a farm in Soldier Township, near Ricketts, Iowa. She was baptized in Christ on October 12, 1913 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Soldier Township and later confirmed there on March 24, 1929. Read More	Irma Marie (Stier) Kruse (1913 - 2001) Irma Marie Kruse was born July 13, 1913, the daughter of Adolph and Marie Johannsen Stier. She died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa at the age of eighty-seven. Irma was born on a farm in Soldier Township, near Ricketts, Iowa. She was baptized in Christ on October 12, 1913 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Soldier Township and later confirmed there on March 24, 1929. She received her formal education in the country schools and Immanuel Lutheran School, Soldier Township. After completing her education, Irma helped as needed for families in the area. On June 8, 1941, Irma was united in marriage to Raymond Kruse at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig by Rev. E. Schwidder. The couple made their home in Schleswig and were blessed with the birth of two children. Irma was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, where she enjoyed quilting and attending Bible Study. She was also a member of Immanuel Ladies Aid, the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Senior Center and several card clubs. Irma loved crocheting, sewing, crafts and her involvement with the V.F.W. Auxiliary as Historian. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond in 1973, one son-in-law, Keith Brockshus, three brothers, Harvey, Herbert and Alvin Stier, two sisters, Carmen Keim and Mildred Marquardt.
