Description	:	Irvin Theodore Bubke was born Dec. 19, 1916 at Battle Creek, the son of Emil and Anna Bubke. He died on Febr. 15, 1977 at Crawford County. Memorial Hospital, Denison, at the age of 60. As a young man he was raised and educated in the Battle Creek area. He was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Grant Township. In October, 1942 he was united in marriage to Wacilla Young. Wacilla died on March 1, 1951. On June 7, 1952 he was reunited in marriage to Edyth Porter at Battle Creek. He died on Febr. 15, 1977 at Crawford County. Memorial Hospital, Denison, at the age of 60. As a young man he was raised and educated in the Battle Creek area. He was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Grant Township. In October, 1942 he was united in marriage to Wacilla Young. Wacilla died on March 1, 1951. On June 7, 1952 he was reunited in marriage to Edyth Porter at Battle Creek. Together they continued to farm in the Schleswig area which Irvin had started in 1942, and continued until 1972. Survivors include his wife, Edyth of Schleswig, two daughters Barbara and her husband Gailen Lyman, Rancho Cordova, Calif. and Connie and her husband Dwayne Lee, Ricketts. By eight sons, Leroy and his wife Sybil; Harlan, Tommy and his wife Cathy, Schleswig; Donald and his wife Velva, Mapleton; Mike and his wife Lila, Denison; Leon of Malaysia; Roger and his wife Shawn, Schleswig; Steven and his wife Karen, Denison; and Tim at home Schleswig, also by 18 grandchildren, by his mother Mrs. Anna Bubke of Ida Grove, a niece Pam King, four brothers Glenn Bubke, Kingsley; Marvin Bubke, Schleswig; Dwaine Bubke, Schaller and Raymond Bubke of Cedar Rapids; by three sisters Mrs. Ella Fredericks, Alta, Mrs. Ivan (Irene) Thornhill, Tucson, Ariz. and Mrs. Helen Piper of StormLake. Funeral services were held Thursday, Febr. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Schleswig. The Rev. Theodore Letzring officiated. Burial was made in the Morgan Township cemetery . Pallbearers included Ronald Thornhill, Russell Bubke, Gordon Bubke, Dennis Bubke, John Adamson and Jon Bubke. Honorary pallbearers included Donald Kline, Elmer Kuhlmann, Clarence Bielenburg, Bill Benson, Edward Neddermeyer and Emil Petersen.
