All that medical skill and loving hands could do was done, but to no avail. Ivy was the youngest child of Martin and Emeline Walker. Her whole life was spent in this community and was loved by all who knew her. About the year 1897 she gave her heart to God and united with the M. E. church at East Union. She was united in marriage with Edward Keller, August 29, 1899. To this union were born three children—Bessie, Jessie and Blanche. She leaves to mourn her untimely death a loving husband, three daughters, her father, mother, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bradford and Mrs. Etta Webber, and one brother—Ed Walker, besides a large number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Stine at the home, Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock and interment was at the Birmingham cemetery. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled.
