Description	:	Funeral services were held December 1, 1960 in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Carrington for Jacob Stubert, 57, of Heaton, former McClusky resident. Pastor R. S. Roesler officiated and burial was made in the Carrington cemetery. Mr. Stubert died November 28th in a hospital in St. Paul. He was a former Northern Pacific Railway employee and had retired in 1957 due to ill health. Mr. Stubert was born November 24, 1903 in Bulgaria and came to North Dakota with his parents in 1907. He was a former Northern Pacific Railway employee and had retired in 1957 due to ill health. Mr. Stubert was born November 24, 1903 in Bulgaria and came to North Dakota with his parents in 1907. They lived on a farm south of Kief until 1923. That year he became a maintenace worker for the NP and worked at McClusky, Turtle Lake, and Goodrich before moving to Heaton. He married Helen Mattheis at McClusky, January 14, 1926. Surviving are his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Edna) Bergstrom of Yakima, Washington, and Mrs. Reinhold (Marlys) Meckle of Eugene, Oregon; two grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. John (Mary) Burkart of McClusky, Mrs. Gust (Pauline) Schuh of Goodrich, Elizabeth Stubert in California, Rebecca Stubert in Michigan, and Mrs. Christ (Lena) Hausauer and Mrs. Gottlieb (Emma) Buchholz, both of Regan; and one brother William of Regan. One son and his parents preceded him in death.
