OBITUARY Jacob William Duey, eldest son of John and Mary Duey, was born February 6, 1879, in Cumberland county (sic) near Carlisle, Pennsylvania. At the age of twelve years he came with his parents to Chester, Nebraska, which has practically been his home until his death, July 10, 1947, at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Clara L. Meiners of Barrington, Illinois on January 28, 1919, at Barrington, Illinois. In young manhood he united with the Methodist church (sic) of Chester of which he remained faithful in the work of his Master until He called him home. He is survived by is wife, Clara L.; one brother, Amos J.; and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Norman of Chester, several nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends. His mother, father and one brother, Charles M., preceded him in death. He was a loving husband and brother and a friend to all who knew him. Servant of God, well done. Thy glorious warfare's past. The battle's fought, the race is won, And thou art crowned at last.
