Interment was in Calvary cemetery. James Donohue was born in Connecticut in Feb. 1856, of Irish parentage. His death occurred September 1, 1930, on the Roosevelt highway as he was walking to the fairgrounds. A great walker during his lifetime Mr. Donohue had insisted on walking instead of riding out in a car. Only last Thursday he had made a 14-mile walk with great pleasure. Those who were near him saw him throw up his hands and fall. Physicians were summoned but were able to do nothing. By trade a marble polisher, Mr. Donohue had also been a railroad man, working at Melrose where his family lived for many years. For the past five years he has made his home in Havre with his daughter Mrs. P.F. Graham. Mr. Donohue is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Donohue of St. Paul, who was unable to attend the funeral. The surviving children include Mrs. P.F. Graham and Mrs. J.A. Holland, Miss Marguerite Donohue, and Edward Donohue of Havre; J.C. Donohue of Bensonville, Ill.; Sister Patricia, ISB, Montevideo, Minn., and Mrs. J.T. Mullins, St. Paul. Other surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. Cella Patterson of Washington D.C., a brother Matt Donohue, also of Washington, and a half brother, John Dunn of Chicago.
