Read More	PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC ~ Mr. James Claude Needham, 75, husband of Runie Mae "Pat" Needham, of Pilot Mountain, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Village Care of King. Mr. Needham was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Surry County to Claude and Stella Adams Needham. He was a retired employee of Amos and Smith Hosiery Mill, a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre of Operations and was a member of Hill's Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years. During that time, James served as a deacon and elder of the church. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Runie Mae "Pat" Needham of Pilot Mountain; a son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Dean Needham and wife Eileen of Kernersville; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal Needham Boyles of Pinnacle, Janie McClung and husband Ernest of Eagle Rock, Va., Beatrice York and husband Bob of White Plains, Ann Adkins and husband Carl of Dobson and Barbara Jean Jessup and husband J.R. of Pilot Mountain; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Needham and wife Louise of Pinnacle and Roger Needham and wife Delores and Eddie Needham and wife Brenda, all of Pilot Mountain. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at Hill's Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Erica Durham and the Rev. Jesse Bledsoe. Burial will be at the Joyce Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain Wednesday evening, March 22, from 7 to 9 and at other times at the Needham home, Hill's Presbyterian Church Road, Pilot Mountain. Memorials may be made to Hill's Presbyterian Church, c/o Carol Lawson, 260 Boyles St., Pilot Mountain, N.C. 27041. The family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain.
