Officials said he was trying to connect a live wire when his shoulder touched a water pipe. He attended school at Clyde and lived there until moving to the Wichita area 7 years ago. He worked at an industrial plant at Hesston. The funeral will be at 10 am Thursday at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Clyde, the Rev. Robert Vering officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Doris, and a son, Tommy, of the home; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lewis, Clyde; 2 brothers, Don, Salina, and Darrell, Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Darrell Chancellor, in the Azore Islands, and in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Marion LeFan, Salina. The rosary will be recited at 7:45 pm Wednesday at the Chaput mortuary, Clyde, followed by a Bible service at 8. The family suggests memorials to the Muscular Dystrophy fund.
