Mr. Foster started his career with C&P Telephone Company of Virginia in 1956. Read More	FOSTER, James Houston, 60, of Richmond, died Saturday, July 30, 1994, at his home, following a lengthy illness. He was a retired Bell Atlantic executive. Mr. Foster started his career with C&P Telephone Company of Virginia in 1956. Following three years of service in the United States Air Force, he returned to C&P Telephone, where he held positions in Richmond, Roanoke and New York before retiring as Division Traffic Manager for Operator Services of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Mr. Foster served on the Board of Trustees for the United Way of Richmond as Chairman of the Finance Committee and as Chairman of the Budget and Allocations Committee. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Senior Center of Richmond, the VCU Foundation Board of Trustees and the Board of Trustess of the Bon Air Rotary Club. He was a former Junior and Senior Warden of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer and a present member of Grace and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and coached baseball and football in the Huguenot Little League and Bon Air Southampton Quarterback Club. He was a member of Willow Oaks Country Club. Mr. Foster was born on August 4, 1933, in Buena Vista, Va. A graduate of the 1956 class of Virginia Military Institute, he was a class officer and served for many years as class agent. He is survived by his wife, Martha Grae (Motsy) Foster, of Richmond; his children, Dr. J. Daniel Foster, G. Dean Foster and Mrs. Beverley Grae MacDowell, all of Richmond; his six grandchildren, all of Richmond; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Foster, of Buena Vista; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Anne Smith, also of Buena Vista. The family will receive friends at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd. from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, with burial and graveside service to be held at at 3 p.m. in Greenhill Cemetery, Buena Vista.
