He passed away at the Beloit Community Hospital after a short illness of only a week. Read More	OBITUARY - The Glasco Sun - November 7, 1935 - Glasco, KS James Isaac, son of Mary and Hamilton Dalrymple, was born February 23, 1863 in Stark County IN and departed this life November 4, 1935, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 11 days. He passed away at the Beloit Community Hospital after a short illness of only a week. He came with his parents to Kansas in 1866 where they settled on a homestead 4 miles southwest of Glasco, Second Creek. Here he spent his boyhood days, suffering the hardships which came to te pioneers Whan a boy at home he and an older sister were once surprised by Indiansand had it not been for the appearance of an uncle at the time they might have been carried away. In 1887, he was united in marriage to Emily Teasley. They moved to a farm South of Simpson where they spent several years, later moving to Boulder, Colorado. they lived there seven years, returning to Kansas and settling at Glasco, where he worked at the carpenter trade for several years. In 1899 he purchased the farm North of Glasco and here made his home until his death. After the death of Emily Dalrymple in 1917, he united in marriage with Thelma Jones in September 1918. She lived only a little over a year and after her death he married Mattie Knight, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harve Knight of Simpson. On June 2, 1928 they took into their home, a daughter, Martha Kelly whom they adopted the following year. She proved a great comfort to both of them, her comradship proved especially great during his illness and to the mother in this time of trial. Besides his wife and daughter he leaves to mourn his passing, one sister, Dora Lucqinbi,, of Idaho; one half-brother, Irvin Dalrymple of Simpson; besides a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
