Read More	OBITUARY, The Glasco Sun, July 11, 1929, Glasco, Kansas Herbert Wesley Dalrymple was born near Glasco, Kansas, October 23, 1874, he departed this life, July 3, 1929, age 54 years, 8 months and 10 days, after suffering and patiently bearing the pain of the dread disease brights disease and heart failure. He has suffered attacks of stomach trouble and heart failure for the last 25 years, but always won the battle until this attack when the merciful Heavenly Father relieved him of all suffering by calling him to his haven of rest. In early manhood he united with the Baptist church and has ever been faithful to his belief by being a kind and industrious husband and father even when his health was so poor. His first thoughts were always for his family and others before himself ever working and doing for others and living the Golden Rule. He was a citizen looked up to for his sound advise, both in the business world and about farming at which he was an expert, having amassed all he owns by experience, hard work and good judgment in the agriculture sphere, with the aid of his faithful wife and children. On October 15, 1902 he was united in marriage to Mary Beck, to this union one daughter and one son were born who were all with him to the end, ever doing all in their power to relieve the patient sufferer. Aside from the bereaved wife he leaves one daughtr, Mrs. Joseph Prickett of Simpson and one son, Jesse of the home address, one son-in-law and one daughter-in-law, two sisters, Mrs. Willard Luckenbill of Hoxie, Kansas and Mrs. Dennis Hanchett of Delphos, Kansas, two brothers, Mrs. James and Mr. Arthur Dalrymple of Glasco, Kansas, one half-brother, Irvin Dalrymple of Simpson. One sister Mrs. A. Ott and one brother, Mr. Henry Dalrymple preceded him in death, he also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing on. Funeral servies were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church. Rev. Murphy of Beloit had charge of the services. Burial was in the Glasco Cemetery.
