Olivet Cemetery, under direction of the Sharp Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday; at 7:30 p.m. Friday by the Knights of Columbus: and at 8:30 Friday by the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Church. Mr. O'Herron, a son of James and Martha O'Herron, was born at Chicago July 27, 1876. At the age of three, he came with his parents to a farm four miles north of Carroll. He was married to Elizabeth Bromert on Feb. 14, 1906, in St. Francis Church, Maple River. They made their home on the O'Herron farm for several years before moving into Carroll where he was engaged in carpenter work. Mr. O'Herron followed the carpenter's trade until his retirement in 1953. His wife died Aug. 30, 1959, and he continued to make his home at 108 South Clark Street until becoming ill and entering the nursing home about six weeks ago. He was a member of St. Joseph Church for more than 80 years and was a member of the Holy Name Society of the parish. He was also an honorary life member of Charles Carroll Council, Knights of Columbus. Surviving arc two sons, Leland O'Herron, Brookfield, Mo., and Donald (Scotty) O'Herron, Carroll; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Menges and Tesie O'Herron, both of Portland, Ore. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and John; four sisters and three brothers.
