Wayne, Indiana, Nov. 29, 1845 and died at Bushong, Kansas, Feb. 24, 1934, aged 88 years, 2 months and 25 days. He was the second of nine children born to Luther and Mary Nott. In 1855 he moved with his parents to Iowa Falls, Iowa. On Jan 1, 1867, he was united in marriage to Caroline Frances Eaton at Eldora, Iowa. Wayne, Indiana, Nov. 29, 1845 and died at Bushong, Kansas, Feb. 24, 1934, aged 88 years, 2 months and 25 days. He was the second of nine children born to Luther and Mary Nott. In 1855 he moved with his parents to Iowa Falls, Iowa. On Jan 1, 1867, he was united in marriage to Caroline Frances Eaton at Eldora, Iowa. To this union ten children were born; nine of whom survive. After their marriage, they lived in Tuckie, Missouri three years and then moved to Nemeha County, Kansas, where they lived for about twenty years. He has lived more than twenty years in Morris County and three years ago, his health became so poor that he retired from farming to make his home with a son, Fred, at whose home he was living at the time of this death. Both he and his wife were members of the Methodist church and had frequent family worship in their home. His wife passed away in 1926 and one daughter, Mrs. W. A. Manion in 1931. He is survived by five sons; Fred and Luther of Bushong; Otto of Allen, Charles and Jesse of Council Grove; four daughters; Mrs. Carl Finkenbinder of Custer City, Okla; Mrs. John Wilson and Mrs. Everett Sharp of Alta Vista; Mrs. Charles Dougan of Council Grove. He also leaves one brother Frank Nott of Holton, Kansas; three sisters: Mrs. Angie Nutter of Fairbury, Nebraska; Mrs. Ella Montgomery of Dewey, Okla; Mrs. John Dutton of Iowa Falls, Iowa. ; There are 38 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was a kind father, and obliging neighbor and a respected citizen of the Community. The funeral services were held from the Christian church of from the Christian church of Council Grove at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. Ray Lessig. Interment in Greenwood cemetery The pall bearers were six grandchildren, Lyle Nott, Gaylord Nott, Everett Nott, Virgil Nott, Leslie Wilson and James Dougan.
