He departed this life February 29, 1932 age 61 years 11 months. He was united in marriage to Alpha Minneman March 3, 1897. To this union three children were born. Read More	Tescott News, Ottawa County, Kansas, March 3, 1932: Obituary James Robert Gaston was born at Morrill, Kansas April 1st, 1870 growing to manhood at that place. He departed this life February 29, 1932 age 61 years 11 months. He was united in marriage to Alpha Minneman March 3, 1897. To this union three children were born. Raymond Gaston, who preceded him October 17, 1918, Agnes and Harland Gaston of the home. On January 1sr, 1913 he was united in marriage to Clara Schneider. To this union two children were born, Averill Gaston of the home and Elveria Gaston of Pittsburg, Kansas. On July 17th, 1919, he was married to Amanda Hurd. To this union one child was born Thelma Gaston of the home. At the age of 16 years Mr. Gaston gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized and became a member of the Baptist Church at Morrill, Kansas. Renewing his pledge to the work again in the Christian Church in the fall of 1923 at Tescott, Kansas. At this time he also served as deacon and other officers of the Church. At the time of his death he was a member (unreadable) District (unreadable) which position he has held for many years. He leaves his wife Amanda Gaston, three girls, two boys, and a step-son George Hurd. Also three brothers Bert Gaston of St. Joe, Missouri, Will Gaston of Wakefield, Kansas; Joe Gaston of Morrill, Kansas and one sister Mrs. Mattie Rousch of Netawaka, Kansas. Mr. Gaston was a good citizen neighbor and friend. He leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure. His last words of Christian testimony were that his trust was in his Master, one who could always be trusted. Funeral was held at M.E. Church, Tescott, conducted by Rev. A.W. Lee of the Baptist Church at Ada, assisted by Rev. H.J. Lorenz of Tescott. Burial in Franklin cemetery.
