Description	:	James T. Muller, Sr. Passes at Farm Home Military rites for James T. Muller Sr. were held Wednesday, November 25 at the Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church of Lynch. Rev. John Wieczorek officiated at the Requiem High Mass. Pallbearers were Thomas Courtney Jr., Wayne Christensen, Joe Milacek, Audrey Compton, Joe Birmeier and Frank Fisher, all members of the American Legion. Interment was made at St. Ludger Cemetery, Creighton with military rites conducted by the American Legion of Creighton. James Theodore Muller Sr., son of Eugene and Maria Muller, was born July 14, 1895 at Winside and passed away at his home Friday, Nov. 20 at the age of 58 years. He served with the Army in WWII, seeing action in France with the rank of private. He was in the Argonne Forest battle and was wounded. On July 12, 1925 he was united in marriage to Sarah Neyens of Creighton. To this union six sons and two daughters were born. His wife passed away in February of 1941. He made his home on a farm near Verdigre until moving to a farm north of Lynch in 1945. He was alone at the farm, when he suffered a heart attack, which led to his death. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah, and one brother, Henry. He is survived by six sons, James of Chicago, Ill., Clayton of Pickstown, S.D., Jake and Howard of Lynch, Thomas, now serving in the Navy and Francis of Creighton; two daughters, Mary Jo and Marjorie of Creighton; two brothers, Nickolas of Winnetoon and Eugene of Norfolk and three sisters, Mrs. Ben (Margaret) Higens of Niobrara, Mrs. Otie (Hannah) Halverson of Winnetoon and Mrs. Juliue (Eugenia) Bessert of Baker, Mont., all of whom were at the last rites.
